Party Time Cover

I love the new Party Time cover! I don't like the subtitle at the bottom, but that is going to be changed. What do you think? Also, please give Party Time a LIKE on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Party-Time-Shaun-Attwood/211408465606796?ref=hl

The dreadful - 'extraordinary confessions of a drug dealer' is truly beyond appalling. I had a look on Amazon and looked at all the description of Party Time. In 'product description' is that the bit which will be on the back cover of the book - the blurb that tells you what the book is all about?? If so I think it needs to tell the reader that the story ends in disaster - and it should be linked to Hard Time. It is human nature than not many people will want to read about a drug dealer having a lovely, hedonistic, indulgent, party lifestyle. To attract readers I think it is crucial that the prospective reader knows the 'walls come crashing down'. If I am teaching you to suck eggs tell me to bugger off, but it would be sooooooooooo annoying if Party Time wasn't 'spot on ' after the 10 years you've put into the production of it.

  21. I agree about "drug dealer". Whoever put that on the cover should be fired. It's about as appealing to book buyers as the word "paedophile".

100x better than the previous, I can't wait to crack this one open, and not just cause my name is going to be immortalized in the written word but cause it's going to be a much more pleasant journey down memory lane compared to the shockingly real life struggle you endured ,Although witty and humorous at times, from the last book. Congrats BM much respect prophet

Love the book cover but agree the subtitle def has to go it's the first thing that catches your eye doesn't look good, especially to people who haven't read the 1st book, on the other hand though would get you in the news pretty quick, from people that think your glorifying it, like the ones that promoted the fifty shades accidentally if they hadn't have moaned about it people wouldn't have been that bothered about it :-) Maybe should have a ref to the 1st book on the front?

  32. I agree Sarah Hughes. It would be better if it said, "The prequel to Hard Time" somewhere

Very striking and the colours are ace! I reckon 'Out of his depth, out of his mind, out of control' might have read better, as 'control' has two syllables - but that's just nitpicking. :)

By subtitle do you mean the white or the pink bit? The white bit would read better with both the 'his' sentences in the top line, and 'out of control' underneath. Looking forward to seeing what happens when this comes out - Hard Time was excellent!

For the subtitle, what about something like you often say when I've heard you speak about accepting the consequences.

Maybe "Why I went to Arizona jail" or
"Why I had to do Hard Time".

    Gerald.

In fairness, I can see the reasoning behind giving some sort of subtitle, as the title itself is not self-explanatory. I don't understand why they haven't used "Out of control. Out of his mind. Out of his depth" or "The true story of one man's mission to bring the English rave scene to the Arizona desert." The way your publisher is handling this does seem very at odds with what you're aiming to achieve.

What are they thinking of?? That subtitle totally misses the point as to what you are all about and would render sales to almost zero.
