They brought a guy in from lockdown, who
thought he was the stuff. He zeroed in on a young kid. He actually walked up to
the kid, gave him some food, and started to horseplay with him.
The kid was hungry because they don’t
feed us worth a damn in here. The kid was thinking, Wow! This guy is cool.
I was hoping the kid wouldn’t eat any of
the stuff, but he did. He went into cell 2 out of view, and the guy was on him.
It was so damn sick.
The guy hadn’t thought about God. I
walked over there with no fear. Several other sickos were telling me to mind my
own business. They were about to jump me. Man, it got real and I mean real. I
realised that I was being set up, and I started to pray.
The guards came in to do a security walk.
They saw the kid all red-faced and bleeding. They hauled the kid and the guy
out of here real fast. They locked us down to investigate what had happened. They
let us back out 40 minutes later.
I knew it was on, and I had a better
idea of who had stolen my store. I thought I knew before, but I realized it was
three of them. I had underestimated their desire and passion to hurt me.
I am going to clamp down on these guys
before I write more, and I won’t be taking them lightly.

Hi T-Bone,
ReplyDeleteI watched 2 episodes of the TV show, "Beyond Scared Straight", today on the computer. In this reality show, kids who are getting into trouble and who are on the verge of being incarcerated for a lengthy period of time, are taken to prison to get to see what will happen to them if they end up in prison. The inmates tell them plainly what will happen to them. It can be quite an emotional show to watch, because it seems like many of these kids feel that they have nowhere left to turn, but then they see that only bad things will happen to them in prison. Well, it definitely seems like it's "on" in your present situation. I have to remember that you've been stopping prison rapes for a long time, so there's no need for me to go over ground that you've obviously already covered. You have every right to confront the inmates who stole your food store, IF you're absolutely sure that it's them. You are to be commended on stopping the rape of that young man who you wrote about in this letter. I'm sure that it's never easy, no matter how many times you've done it, because there are often consequences to you for stepping in. Every young kid in that prison has an inner child in them. When a kid is being raped, his inner child is being raped, as well. I would like to think that that image would be enough to make any decent human "see red". But not every human is capable of doing something about it. And that's why you're a true warrior. You may have a criminal record, and you may be incarcerated, but because of your humanity and courage, you can look any man in this world straight in the eye. ANY MAN IN THIS WORLD. And no matter what happens, nothing can change that. Like the Bon Jovi song goes, time for you to be an, "Army of One". The possibility of defeat is always there, but that's exactly what helps to keep one focused. I for one am still betting on you winning against this group of guys. Accept the possibility and consequences of defeat, but think positively. If it seems like you might lose, that is when you have to remember most that WINNING IS EVERYTHING. I can't wait to read your next letter posted here, whenever you are able to write it. God is always watching. May God continue to bless you.

I didn't know about the show and have been looking at a few of them. On one hand it is good it would scare the living shit out of any youth idealizing the gangster or crime lifestyle, but on the other more importantly, it is beyond disgusting that American prison system is the largest ever in the history of the world and that most people incarcerated are people of colour and ONCE anyone gets criminalized this strips them of their citizens rights which then accentuates their desperation and temptation to HAVE to turn to 'crime' just to live.
ReplyDeleteThe BIGGEST criminal is the State who wants this, because it gives them the 'right' (13 Amendment) to make slaves, mainly out of people of colour for their own profitable industry. It is THESE evil fuckers who want exposing. Going right to the stinking roots of this corruption
ReplyDeletewell put guys :)
ReplyDeleteHello! Hi Shaun! :) Glad you saw the show ("Beyond Scared Straight"), muzuzuzus. I believe that "muzuzuzus" makes some very good, important points. Crime and punishment (and rehabilitation)is an extremely complicated issue. I am currently consuming alcohol, so perhaps I should not get too deep into philosophizing about crime, punishment, and rehabilitation. But I will say this: I believe that there is good in all of those incarcerated, no matter what their crimes are. Remember: Every person incarcerated was once an innocent infant...There is good in everyone incarcerated, whether they themselves accept it or not...

yes we all have good and bad potential, USA prisons need to stop treating people like animals and try to focus on the good in people to help it come out
ReplyDeleteas I am understanding it the problem is this. This culture is fukin evil like you wouldn't be LEEEVE, when you really start diggin. The new jim crow's been set up as a way to carry ON the slave trade, because their militarized police (doubly so, via so-called 'war on drugs' and then the phony 'war on terror') persecute particularly people of colour (in one of those 'scared straight vids' (which is really a sadism fest entertainment) there was this VERY young looking black kid. 17 years old, put in an adult prison for THIRTY FUKIN YEARS for, get this, credit card fraud!!!!!!) and feed their fukin evil prison industry for profit. What this 'scare them straight' is meant to do is make them CONFORM to this evil system, and not question it in any way, because ANY excuse, espech if your black, they will get you locked up.
ReplyDeletethe USA prison system is slavery in a modern form and extremely racist
ReplyDeleteYeah. Something that really hit me when I read your book was how groups organize immediately according to their 'race' in those places!!
ReplyDeleteSo THAT is reflecting the culture 'outside' which tries to cover this shit up. Ie it pretends. 'colour blindness' and all that phony crap
Only VERY recently in the UK they have begun to start including brown skinned people in their precious ads. Have you noticed?
ReplyDeleteEvery time it happens I sense my eyes widening a bit because it is a surprise!!
