Three Girls is a three-part British television drama series broadcast in 2017. It is a dramatised version of the events surrounding the Rochdale child SA ring, and describes how the police and the local authorities failed to investigate allegations of CA and R-word because the victims were perceived as unreliable witnesses and through fear of being accused of racism because of the ethnicity of the perpetrators. In the early 2000s, Dave Gunn and his brother Colin built the Bestwood Cartel, a multi-million-pound empire based on drugs, extortion and violent crime during a time when Nottingham was labelled Britain's gun crime capital.

The second season of Sherwood, the BBC crime drama series, was inspired by the activities of the Gunn Brothers and the deadly crime wave in Nottingham, which earned the city the nickname 'Shottingham'

According to the media, the Gunn Brothers ruled some of the city’s suburbs with an iron fist, drove around in flash cars and were dripping in expensive jewellery. They saw themselves as protectors of their manor – a modern-day mix of Robin Hood and the Kray twins.

Prior to his many years spent in the California Department of Prisons as a Corrections Officer, Hector Bravo served as a US Army Iraq War Infantry Combat Veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom II in 2004. During his time in the US Army, he conducted combat operations consisting of raids, capturing high-value targets, and direct contact with enemy forces.

In 2006 Hector Bravo joined the California Department of Corrections serving in both maximum and medium security institutions. During his service as a Correctional Officer, he experienced numerous incidents ranging from riots, assaults on staff, and murders. Throughout his career, he has been involved in over 500 incidents applying many force options to quell the violence. In 2014 he was promoted to Correctional Sergeant, and in 2017 promoted to the rank of Correctional Lieutenant. He has served on the Tactical Response Team as a certified Tactical Operator and Hostage Negotiator. He would later become the Tactical Commander.  While in the California Corrections system he saw shocking prison administration corruption; how drugs are smuggled into prisons, how critical incidents go down in the prison populations; how sex offenders are handled at the hands of other convicts; witnessed the Fresno California Bulldogs from the streets to jail and saw them go to war in prison; learned how gangs function and experienced many over the top, jaw dropping events and conditions including the Immoral, Dangerous’ California State Prison Trans Policies that led to his resignation.
