Drugs Live: The Ecstasy Trial

Channel 4 just called. I'm on standby to go live tonight on Part 2 of the TV program Drugs Live: The Ecstasy Trial. I find out for sure in 2 hours if I'm going on. Whether I'm on or not, I strongly recommend people watch Part 2 tonight at 10pm (UK time). They have a cross section of volunteers taking Ecstasy and getting monitored afterwards, including a female priest, a politician, and a massive former SAS soldier. Here's the link to watch it worldwide on the internet when it comes available at 10pm UK time:  http://www.channel4.com/programmes/drugs-live-the-ecstasy-trial/episode-guide/series-1

It's been two hours, and Channel 4 haven't called back, so looks like I'm not going on.

I think the ex 'SAS' soldiers name was Walter Mitty.

This show was tripe, group hug, yes, and loads of applause; some psychiatrist bint showing her arse, Jon Sox wetting himself because he's kinda down with the yoof for a change, instead of sucking Uncle Sam's dick in Washington - at our expense, the worthless, preening cunt - and nothing, absolutely nothing revealed about so-called drug abuse.

People take stuff because it makes them feel good, always have, always will. Doesn't matter what Jon Sox and his gang of chimps say.

I must say that I agree that people use alcohol, nicotine and drugs because the effects feel good.
I wonder what would happen if a truly safe recreational drug was discovered. It would be banned, that's certain, but what would the excuse be?
Electronic cigarettes are gradually being banned in the US. There's a conflict of interest; otherwise, why ban a safer alternative to cigarettes, especially when nicotine replacement therapy doesn't work? It's all about control and money. Have a look at how many new laws have been passed in the UK during the last 20 years. More were passed than in the previous 4 centuries. Many involve the loss of some right or liberty.
Be careful when loss of liberty is given as an excuse for safety.
