How Prisoners Are Strip Searched (Including Anal and Foreskin Searches)

Hi, you mention the intake area in one of your videos. Do they strip search you here? Is it private one on one or a group search? How invasive is it? Is it like in the UK where it is all by verbal instruction? What is the procedure? What happens? What do they make you do? How "thorough" is it?
Do they strip search you at other times? Shakedowns? Post visit etc? Do they strip search you on release too? I have always wondered that? Would be fascinated to know all the details of this for my studies. A video covering this topic would be even better - tell us, so any guys facing this jail will know what to expect.

the disadvantages of being a Brit in a US jail...
Just an FYI. Yesterday was the 18th anniversary of the opening of Arpaio's tent city. A group of hard core protesters, myself included, showed up to protest the ghastly conditions in Arpaio's jails. Our spokesman, Carlos Galindo, radio show host, managed to barge his way into the press conference Arpaio was holding. There are some good pics on his FB page. I've even mentioned your book on his page in the last few days as Arpaio is always in the news.
As we stood outside on public sidewalks, I had my sign that is my profile pic and others had inflammatory signs too. It just so happened it's the driveway the chain gang vehicles use. So here would come the occasional bus full of chain gang and there we were in support of them and holding our anti Arpaio sign. It gave my heart happy to know that when they returned from work detail the word would spread all over tent city that we were there for them!!

That's great to read, Gail. Glad you are out there, making such a difference! Down with Arpaio!
We have no plan of lightening up on Arpaio. His evil cannot go on. The Maricopa County jails are a very dangerous place to be. Well, Shaun knows that. He has a competitor running for Sheriff now too.
